KARACHI: Revival of Pakistan Steel Mills has been discussed in a meeting with adviser to the Prime Minister on Commerce, Textile, Industry, Production and Investment, Abdul Razak Dawood and members of the Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) on Thursday.
The meeting discussed measures for revival of Pakistan Steel Mills.
Talking to newsmen after a meeting with the members of the PSM Board at Pakistan Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC) House, Dawood said that the board members have appreciated the work of the revival committee on PSM.
He appreciated the committee for preparing an excellent report and said it would be presented before the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet.
Pakistan Steel Mills is the country’s biggest asset and it would be revived, the adviser said, adding: “Our industry was facing losses due to under-invoicing.”
Besides discussion over revival of Pakistan Steel Mills measures to protect local industries of the country also came under discussion during the meeting.
