Pakistan’s exports drop 3.15 percent in November

KARACHI: Pakistan’s exports have declined by 3.15 percent in November 2018 compared with October 2018.

According to the provisional data released by Pakistan Bureau of Statistics released today, total exports during the month of November remained at $1.84 billion, down 3.15 percent to last month’s exports of $1.90 billion.

During this period imports also dropped by 4.44 percent to $4.62 billion from $4.84 billion of last month. Balance of trade also remained down 5.28 percent to $2.78 billion from $2.93 billion last week.

When compared with November 2017, exports remained down 6.35 percent, as company had exported goods worth $1.96 billion in that month. Imports remained down 2.77 percent to $4.75 billion of last November.

From July-November 2018, exports remained up 1.29 percent to $9.12 billion against $9.0 billion during the same period last year.

During these five months, imports remained down 0.78 percent to $23.63 billion from $233.81 billion last year.
